So the Miller finished his hilarious story, sure that his antics would impress
But the listeners were not amused by his tale
In fact his story had turned them all quite pale
The Nun was quite worried that she might actually yack
And the Reeve was quite literally stopped in his tracks
None in company had ever heard something so raunchy
They were taken aback by this miller so paunchy
The Summoner however found it very amusing
Probably because of all of his boozing
He took the Miller aside and begged him for more
“Share with me more of your rancid lore!”
The Miller decided that he would comply
And so separate from the rest the two took stride…
There once stood in Southwerk the most famous of taverns
With a pervasive reputation that reached the farthest of caverns
An outrageous reputation of drunken and rowdy behavior
Any who enter need pray for a savior
This place of great drink had on great patron
A man who went simply by the name of Nathan
A bawdy old brute
But far from a coot
He could woo the coldest of maidens
One day entered a lady of unmatched bodily grace
And Nathan found his eyes glued to her face
He must have her, and now, he thought on the spot
But was this sly mix as hot to trot?
Nathan decided that her opinion didn’t matter
Nothing would keep the old devil from having her
But he found to his dismay
That when he made a pass
This lady desired no play
And made of him quite the ass
It seemed he’d lost the day
But wait, not so fast
Nathan hatched a plan to tame this stubborn lass
He found a female patron who agreed upon his plan
He’d supply her with the money
For the two would drink the black and tan
And when the time came needless to say,
Clever old Nathan would have his way
But while they drank,
The ladies formed a plan of their own
They’d rob this old slob of all that he owned
So came the time to set their plan in motion
Liz feigned inebriation, swaying like the ocean
“Bring me dear friend up to my room,
For it won’t be long ‘til my conscious is doomed”
Assuming it was safe, as 15 long minutes has passed
Nathan took steps to Liz’s room, moving quite fast
He stood outside the door and heard loud drunken snoring
And knew that in this very bed was the girl he was adoring
Swiftly he entered quietly sneaking to the bed
Flinging back the covers revealing linens instead
Nathan was confused, he couldn’t believe his eyes
It was then that he heard the two women’s cries
They emerged from the darkness intent upon their plan
One of them landed a blow with an old frying pan
Together they had tricked that old and arrogant oaf
Now they robbed him of his clothes and tied him to the bed posts
So they disappeared, admiring their loot
Laughing over a moral victory to boot
My brother wrote this. I like it, but what do you guys think?
