Ladypeacek woke suddenly. The dreams were starting again. She sat
up in her bed and pushed back the tears. She couldn't let this
happen again. Too many changes too fast never bode well for those
around her, nor herself. She had to find a way to hold on to
something, a part of the ones she loved that seemed to be getting
farther and farther from her.
Andre had said not to bother him in his crypt. She didn't seem to
care when she picked up the phone and called him. Damn him, she
needed him now.
With a start, Andre realised that his cell was ringing. Curse them,
he had left strict instructions that he was not to be disturbed. He
picked up his cell, and checked the caller ID. It was Pea, and his
anger melted away.
He flipped open the cell, and took the call.
"Hey..." he said hesitantly.
"I am coming by to get you, so get up and be ready. We have
something to do now." She set the phone down and got up. Changing
into nothing more than an old pair of jeans and her favorite T-shirt
she threw on her shoes and whisked off with a teleport. Arriving at
the crypt she just hollered for him to come on, time was wasting
away.
Muttering under his breath, Andre just had time to throw on his
customary black silk shirt, and a pair on black jeans before he
heard Pea's voice calling him. Still pushing his feet into his worn
boots, he rushed out to see her, dragging his coat in one hand.
Tears still stained his face, and he saw that she was no different.
Forgetting the introductions, he flew into her arms and hugged her
tightly. They had been through much already in the short time these
two had known each other, and these last few days had been the most
testing. If there was a time each needed the other, it was now.
After moments had passed without even the smallest of words, she
took his hand and they were gone. The teleport took them in front
of a building they both had heard a lot about but neither had ever
been there. Herman. She looked at Andre and both just nodded.
They would find the location Sartori and been laid, and they would
get the blood they where in search of.
Breathing deeply, Andre took Pea's hand and pushed the door of the
shop open. The dingy interior filled with interesting looking
potions and vials held no interest for them. They had but one
purpose, and with a grim expression Andre set about looking for the
owner of this hovel.
Turning aside tables and shelves, Andre finally found the man
grovelling in a back room. He was utterly terrified, and not without
good cause.
Andre gripped him firmly by the shoulders and led him into the main
room of his shop.
Pea walked up close and got inches from the mans face. "We want the
location. We want the blood. Now!" The man shook his head,
obviously a sign of a promise he had made to Sartori. But Sartori
had known better, he must have. He knew them each well enough to
know when they wanted something, they got it.
They struggled with Herman, things were broke, bones cracked, but in
the end…the pair walked from that shop with 3 small vials of blood
and a location. With a hint of hope and weak smiles, they wrapped
into each others arms and were off again in a cloud of smoke to
their next destination.
