I have this one on my ankle, the top is the chinese symbol for strength, crossing into a heart. I want to get at least 1 more symbol next to it, smaller and more delicate I suppose, or maybe a butterfly, at least something

I think it depends on the person's tolerance for pain really. NONE of my tattoos hurt until I got the one on my lower back. (Note; it has to be said that it's location is just ABOVE tramp stamp territory. >.>) Even that though, it was like Starr said, only the outline hurt. The colouring actually tickled some and I about damn well fell asleep in the chair! >.> <.< Dani spelled my name wrong. *Fixes*

They are all done in black, except for love. My Japanese was not the best when I had them done. I had wanted the symbol for love, third from the top done in black and outlined in red, But they had misunderstood and done it back wards. I plan to add more to the pieces to make it one solid piece. But as of yet I am undecided. And It could be the light that had made them appear blue-ish. The method with which the kanji was done was the tapping method. Good ol' stick with a needle, quite relaxing but painstakingly long. Thanks for the compliment. I don't show these off much, lest the human is in a bathing suit.
