A few pieces I've done. You have quite the talent too, Dea. I like the hands holding the apple particularly. Very lovely. I should do some new art and get the scanner working so I can put some drawings up too. You and Laby should give me some tips on shading. hehehe ;D

Start simple and practice lots. I'd really suggest getting used to using different media and styles as well. One of the best things to do is divide a long rectangle say, 20cm by 2cm into 10 little squares. At one end is white, at the other is black/darkest shade attainable, then work your way down in increments to the other end.

Oh, thank you Laby! I have heard of that technique before. I think my dad used it. I would love to show off some of his art. He used "stippling" once. I'd like to do that some time. But I am best at drawing freestyle. I will try your idea I think.
